What's new

More inflation - new tires edition

I got those for 100 bucks a tire with 60 miles on them because some bro company bought new F250’s and had to have fancier tires.

You fawkin stole those, damn!

I would. My wife DDs the LC though (the whole 6 mile roundtrip commute) and she worries about fucking everything. It's worth it to me to get her to STFU about it.
Stick some road tires on it if it never leaves pavement.

Run the Michelin on all the work trucks they average 1000 a set we have 8 trucks 5 trailers and then the owner has his 28 different cars 😂 between tires gas batteries all I can say is FUCK

When I bought the first set of 37x13.50x17 Cooper STT Pros back in late 2017 for our JKUR I believe I paid $1399 with free shipping from Walmart.Com. In 2019 I bought a set of 40" STT Pros and got them for slightly over $1700 with free shipping. I bought another set of 37x13.50's back in November and those fuckers were $2300 with free shipping. W.T.F. :shaking:

I was gonna ask you how you like them since that's what I was planning to run in the LC after the lift but buying three sets says you either love 'em or are a glutton for punishment.

Are these Thunderer tires worth a fuck? Price seems too good to be true but I'm seeing good reviews. Look like they're Thailand and not Chinese.

I might just suck it up and buy the fucking Falkens.
Idk, I have them on my suburban. They are a little over a year old.

I love those tires and will keep buying them until they stop making them, if that tells you anything.

They work great offroad and they handle really good on dry and wet pavement. My wife drives her jeep about 55 miles a day at 75-80mph and has zero complaints. Both the 37s and 40s went just about 50k miles each before I changed them out for a new set.

You mean these?

I remember a guy I knew talking about how much he paid for 54s when they first came out. Pretty sure it was around $450 per tire, I couldn't wrap my brain around that much money for tires then.
I remember seeing a 44“ tsl in 4wp in 97-98. I think it was about $350.

I worked at sears tire and we had a vette come in with I swear 19” rims. Those were special order and about the same price per tire, a totally unimaginable expense for someone making $6.50 an hour.

FYI, most Stellantis dealerships run Mopar's Buy 3,Get One For $1 tire deal in March-April and October-November. Not always a good deal, depending on pricing and availability, but usually is equal to most Interwebs prices, and no shipping, at least at my store.

I bought my first set of 38.5 SX's in used but like new condition for $500 for the set in the mid 2k's, and that included the guy air freighting them across the country to me.

I think we're on like 60-70k miles on these tires on the F150 and they are not done. They do make just a hair of noise. But if it's not a late model rig, I doubt you would notice. Less noise than my toyo at2s.

I've been seeing that everywhere. Affirm?

I'm sure that's not helping. Same idea as how houses use to cost about 6 months wage or so before you could finance them.

I’ve seen hit or miss on the thunderer.

ThePanzerFuhrer step in here and let ‘em know how much construction tires have went up. I’m sure it’s in line with ag tires :barf:
Help make the crybabies feel better:flipoff2:

Big truck tires are right there. I got lucky and snagged 2 90% Bridgestone R213 steers from my mechanic for $450. Then proceeded to drop $3400 on 8 new Synergy drives. It was a deal because that was installed and balanced. Bridgestones through my co's national account would've been damn near 5 grand installed .

Replacing some maxxis bighorns, essentially same size but in 17" instead of the previous 16", and they are over $100 more per tire than in 2018, 160ish vs 275.
