I generally try to avoid most of the gnarly traffic and craziness, and 100% won't pay to get into an auction or car show just to spectate, but there are some free events I took the kids to. We wandered around and took some pictures, figured you guys might want to see.
Concours d'Lemons. I love this event and try to go every year. They have the most interesting stuff. I was giving my kids the standard car show line of "Ok, we look but don't touch any cars." when one of the judges walked by and said "Well, you can touch these cars." Love it.
Hawaiian Land Rover brah.
Saw not one, but TWO more refined version of the cyber truck WITH their factory tents.
Sitting on a sketchy hacked up golf kart chassis
"Safari"
I posted this one in another thread, but it's worth talking about in greater detail. it started life as a VW Bug, then got the bus front end added on, then all the other silly-ness happened to it. Asked the owner if about the drive train:
"Stock vw bug"
"Stock gearing all that?"
"Yep! It's 1st or 2nd gear max"
Seat is all the way back there because that's where you would sit on a vw bug pan
