What are these things? Do they have any value or are they scrap?

I have 9 of the big rings and 1 of the small one.

Part number stamped on big ring is K&W R 45/46 S

Part number on small ring is K&W R 28 S

Came out of my dad’s warehouse with a bunch of customer abandoned parts. Most of the parts are for gas compression equipment and industrial engines (CAT, Waukesha, etc). These appear brand new but were loose and have no boxes or packages or anything. My Googles comes up with nothing.

I'm guessing gasket rings for bolted flanges......

I have no idea what they are but I inherited mine in the late 70’s. Mine is magnetic and seems heavy for its size. Obviously you should not scrap or get rid of them because they may come in handy for something. Thanks for posting this because I have always wondered. Mine is about 4 1/2” OD.

K&W still make large gas valves. They are corresponding seals.

Those are o-rings for flanges.

Scrap value is about all they have.
