Since eerything else is getting moved over here, i thought i would do mine too. But i am too lazy to retype or copypaste the story behind each model, so for now you just get the purdy pichers.

Yeah; I'm an aircraft model-builder first, and then vehicle model-builder second.


I just gave my oldest son pretty much my whole model stash (100+ models).

I'm pretty sure I'm far enough from any city big enough for that kind of stuff. There used to be a model section at a local indoor car show, but the show isnt much and I havent been in years. Next year I might look into it

wheel base is about 16". I'll get back to it... eventually. hah

i use hobbylinc.com quite a bit, the prices are good, and combined shipping is really great. like say it would be $7.80 to ship one model, for 2 it would only be $8.10. I always plan my next couple builds and buy several at once. Ebay is my other go to

Tower Hobbies has a pretty good selection too. I'm getting back into it after a 20 year hiatus.....just bought all the shit again at great expense.

I used to build model cars all the time in middle school and high school. After that I spent 10 years in the Navy and didn't have time/place for it.

my brother is just finishing this up for my nephew.
it's an scx chassis. crates, barells, trailer are all 3d printed. it's painted in the correct period paint that he used to paint his full scale m100 he built.

he went full old man scale modeler. working lights, 3d printed grill and bumper. the whole deal.
made my nephews design parts in the cad for it.

even found this 7#(?) test paracord or something that looks like rope.
