Cool. Mobile as in climber/lock on/saddle. Light weight, packable. Look on MIDWAY USA at the hawk helium combo. Super light stand & sticks for $206! It’s a steal.
I was in a climber a last year but there were a lot of trees I couldn’t hunt. So I’m going with a different set up. $20 bucks In dyneema off amazon and I have no metal buckles now.
That sounds like a good price. It’s been a few years, but I think mine was around $300.
I really like my Ol’ Man climber. I’ve used a few other brands, and didn’t like them as much. The regular metal ones also get heavy when carrying them, a backpack, and a rifle or bow.
Honestly, where I hunt in TX, it’s hard to find a tree straight and tall enough for my climber. I mainly use it deer hunting in AR. A lock on would be a better option here. Whatever you do, invest in a tree stand safety harness. I came close to a bad fall a few years ago without one on. Won’t climb up again without it.
I've got five tee stands on my property. I just sit in those. I feel like when I'm moving around, I'm scaring everything off in a one mile radius.
