Starts off with the 3" cutoff tool and a Harbor Freight air belt sander...
Has anyone tried it? I have been waiting for Milwaukee to make one, but curious if this works well enough to not wait.

Cut off tools are going for $100-130 (tool only) and that particular air sander is about $80, but there is a smaller $30 dollar option. Then, you could buy the conversion kit on ebay or make your own. I saw one guy who just used the parts from both lots and welded 'em together. So $130- 230 depending on which options you choose. Seems right in line with any other Milwaukee

I don't think so. Doesn't mention anything about it on the product page from Milwaukee.

Why doesn't anyone make a cordless belt sander? Not a little finger sander like that, but a full blown 3x24 size unit??
Personally there are some things I feel you wouldn't benefit much via being cordless.

The battery on that conversion posted seems really small IMO.

But then again I have a Dynabraid so there's that.

I want to build one of these in a bad way, but at the same time i dont think it will live up to the Air powered Dynabraid goodness I already use regularly

Thought about it, but I ended up buying one of these, for the limited use it sees in my garage it works perfectly. I doubt it'll hang with a real Dynabrade but I also don't have enough air to run one and find out.
