I can get a set of 4 new MT baja mtz P3 tires in 40x13.50x17 locally for $600 each

Anybody have any experience with these?

Would you recommend them?

What didn't you like about them?

Do they run true to size?

Doesn't cooper make these for MT? I had a set of the old STT on a yj and I really liked them. They look really similar. Remember hearing something about that maybe on the old board.
 
I had 33" mtz on my Cherokee and 31s on a CJ5...the side biters look to be a little less aggressive on the new design. Never ran the new P3 mtz. The original mtz was good for a street and light offroad vehicle but I never did any hard rock crawling with them. Seemed to work good in the snow.
 
I had two blow outs of a older version of that tire. I can tell you getting any warranty on them is shit. They wanted me to ship them the tires at my expense and then they would decide if I was due any credit.
 
$600 each cash brand new from a local tire shop.

They where ordered for someone that never came to pick them up. Maybe I could talk the guy down a bit or barter and trade.
 
My worry with those tires is that I feel they are due to be discontinued.

$600 ea, gets you any 40" tire you want, not a deal by any means.

I'd just go with 40" Cooper STT Pro's if it were me. The 40's should be a bit cheaper than those M/T's.
