My brain quit working a while ago and im running myself in circles.

Trying to work out a gearing issue in the computer of my bronco and am trying to get its computer squared away.

My bronco now has 37" tires and 5.72 gears

Stock it had 33" tires and 4.70 gears.

The computer has a max gear ratio input of 5.38

What tire size do Ii need to tell it I have to make things correct using the 5.38 gear input.

Tire size devided by gear ratio times new gear ratio.

Could someone please walk me through your math.... how and why? I keep getting different answers by over thinking it.
Ratio.

You're just trying to describe the relationship of tire size to gear with a max limitation in the gear side.

37/5.72 = x/5.38

X = 34.8

5:38 to 1, is the Max ratio allowed. But that is on a 33" tire.
I know that dose not help. Can you change the tire size, usually found in the ABS module?

Its in the body control moduap and yes, thats what I did and it has seemed to work so far.

*EDIT TO CORRECT MISTAKE

circumference-

37" = 116.25

116.25" / 5.72= 20.32" (current actual rollout)

to substitute for 5.38 gear. finding tire rollout X

X / 5.38 = 20.32

X= 5.38 x 20.32

X=109.32

convert from rollout to tire size

109.32/ 3.14=

34.8" this is the tire size you should enter.

circumference-
33" = 103.7
37 = 116.25

103.7 / 4.7= 22.06

X / 5.38= 22.06
solve for X

X= 5.38 x 22.06

X= 118.70

now convert circumference to tire height
Why the hell did you leave the last step off? :laughing:
