Marvin Heemeyer and the Killdozer

Sounds like maybe he screwed up accepting the first offer and decided it was worth more so he backed out. That is proven by the fact the he asked for 100k or so more and the concrete guy immediately accepted. Then after Heeymeyer backed out of that, the garbage company paid 400k AND then had to pay the 80k for the sewage and other updates.

This basically shows that the property was indeed worth more.

He may have been an asshole but was it a nature or nurture issue?

Was he just an asshole by nature or made one by the actions against him?

Seems someone that creates a muffler shop in the middle of nowhere and makes a successsful business out of it has to have some charm and decency. Even the cops on the show were praising him for his craftsmanship and ethic.

I think that the guy just got pushed too far, lost about everything fighting an unwinable war, and snapped.

I agree. You don't build a successful business being a dickhole to every Dick and Tom unless provoked. The dude was obviously premenstrual crazy and definitely a dickhead, but only after being pushed. He obviously held the business itself (not in the original or 2nd offer sale), land and building as high value, but it was prime commercial and held out for prime and got bent over for holding out. I watched the Netflix thing and have been following the tale for years and still feel he's justified....even with the dumb see theGod on my side shit involved. The notion of God and SOMEONE being on his side is all the pitiful fucker had left. The outsider in a good ol boy club is a hard nut to crack no matter what you bring to the table. That ideology happens here and among wheeling groups as well whether anyone wants to admit it or not. If you're not a cool kid like us, well fuck you and the horse that got you here type of deal in any social circle.

Edit... waiting on Pitbull to run a tank through whatever shithole they're based out of.😂

I know a guy that runs a successful business in Granby. Around or just after the Killdozer mess, he was trying to start the business, and the county tried just about everything they could to stop it. They kept throwing up road blocks - zoning issues in his face - 'it's not zoned for your type of business, etc. etc. He was getting pretty fed up with all the bullshit, then discovered that the county took a large FAA grant for the local airport upgrade, and part of taking the FAA grant included rezoning portions of the land around Granby to the type of zoning he needed for his business. Those zoning changes never seemed to make it into the official county records. Needless to say, once he found out about the changes they pretty much couldn't stop him from opening up.

Based on my discussions with him, I pretty much figured the county wasn't above pulling shenanigans to fawk with folks they may not like.

I watched it.

I can see how it happened.

He felt he was getting yanked around by good ol' boy small town politics, (whether he was or not, doesn't really matter, in his mind he was).

Add on to that, a lot of alone time to ruminate, and it's a powder keg waiting to go off.

Junior is pissed-

That’s the HD I use 3-4 times a week. A couple miles from my house.

Dude stacked a couple cars at a gas station. Ripped the door off a liquor store then ended in the HD lot.,.

I saw that a few days ago.
I know there are armored doors for mulching and demo. Which led to
