Mail in ballot potus election

It's more of a reference to the president's gaffe about how absentee ballots are fine but mail in are fraud prone.

There is a big difference - the "mail in voting" they are talking about isn't the same process as the standard absentee ballot. What these state gov'ts are talking about doing is sending out unrequested ballots to all their citizens or all the "registered" ones. Then they want to make sure nobody is missed, so they will come up with some method to add registrations by driver licenses and things like that. Then they want to send out postage pre-paid envelopes, which we all have seen are not postmarked. Then they want to make sure we give them at least a few days past election day to collect as many as possible, in case USPS has lost them, or if people only mail them in on the day of the election. All of this is different than absentee, except for the part where they get sent with USPS, which is still the only reason I need to NEVER vote by mail/absentee. The rest of it is a huge invitation for actual real fraud.

In the instructions that came with my mail in ballot, it tells you that if you make a mistake to just draw a line through the candidate's name and then fill in the oval for the other candidate.

Yea, I can't see how that will enable someone to commit election fraud.

I pre-emptively drew a line through all of the candidates that I didn't vote for; now the worst they can do is throw my ballot away, they can't change my vote.

Whats really going to fuck up the system is when polling places don't open on election day and they tell everyone that waited that you should of voted by mail weeks ago.

if you're in line at a polling place you should be allowed to vote no matter what. turning people away who were waiting in line is 100% not ok.

I dont trust the USPS, much less any other alphabet agency handling ballots.

Wouldnt surprise me, I almost expect it.

I get a confirmation when it's received and entered.

Really? I lived in SD and didn't? I vote absentee sometimes when I'm not at home, no confirmation and always wondered if they got it.

Think about it. Heavy Repub or conservative area, just find a dumpster to deposit the ballots. There was a PS employee shown doing that to 1,000s of republican canidate flyers.

In the swing state’s you wouldn’t have to lose many to affect the outcome of a election. 1,000 or two in every red county and bingo election results are changed.

Got my mail yesterday and I received mail for three of my neighbors. I just stuffed it back in the box with the flag up. That’s why I don’t mail my bills in.

yet some fucking how were supposed to trust the USPS with an election

I'm not saying they will turn people away, I'm guessing they won't open the doors at all or even show up. To many poll workers fall into the high risk category.

Colorado was a 100% mail out ballot state. I have received previous tenant's ballots, it would have been very easy to vote as them. How easy would it be for a mailman to throw out every ballot from someone with a trump sign in their yard? On ballot mail out day it would be really easy to grab your neighbor's ballot Even a kid could check the mail, find the ballot and fill it out and mail it in before their parents got home? There's so few documented cases of mail in ballot fraud because people have no clue it's happening. Unless someone catches the mail man dumping ballots how do you know it happened? How many people don't vote but had a ballot sent to them and someone else voted for them, how would they ever know?

The other thing with Colorado is you could vote in person as well. I have no clue how they knew you had voted by mail but I think every ballot had a bar code. So what happens if someone filled out your mail in ballot for you and then you went to vote in person how do they remove your fraudulent mail in votes?

I can see the news report now.

"Election on hold, please follow our USPS live tracker."

"Arrival scan Newark NJ sorting facility 4:42am. Delayed, estimated delivery date unavailable."

CNN: A record 350 million people voted in this year's election ...

New for 2024... "Text your vote to 55555, standard data and messaging rates apply."

Honestly, what % of adults have a cell phone these days? The few that don't could still go to a polling place.

NSA could probably figure out pretty easy the valid votes from the bogus ones based on who the phone/device is registered to. Auto reply could tell you if your vote was counted (or not).

It could be set up like a Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, phone or text your vote while watching live on TV:lmao:

Doesn't the electoral college somewhat make the entire thing irrelevant?
