LORE Bronco restore

Picked er up at Line-X of Houston- came out great!

The driver's valve cover and the firewall wanted to fight. I brought it to a guy because I didn't think my TIG welding was up to snuff- and it was totally boogered up by them.
So, This was my fix- I had to weld it myself (hey- BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, STUPID) mask off where the cookie sander was haphazardly flung around, sand blast it, then vapor honed to to try and soften the edges.
Anyways. Lesson learned- I can TIG aluminum better than I thought.
We're moving right along now

Made a stand so I can work on my dash without it sucking.
Stripping wiring and adding circuits to the Centech harness- did I mention don't buy one of these because they refuse to give you a wiring schematic? DON'T! Painless even gives you an IPO! (input/process/output) and lots of PDF schematics!

Got the tailgate mounted- was fun getting it in without scratching paint

All this hardware is just gonna be hidden with the tire carrier on, but it sure looks pretty!

Bought the fan/shroud/radiator from Champion- and of course 2/3 of the items fit with each other lol......fuck lol

Had to trim about 7/8" off the shroud to get the fan to sit on the inside/against the radiator so it would clear the water pump.

Mapping out exhaust options. Me thinks about here with a 3" tip.

buuuuuut the gas tank strap is sorta directly in my way. Suggestions?

made this work. Was told it wouldn't. well, it does, so :flipoff2:

Put it here
Lol, ya right lemme cut the body after I painted it
Is that a 90deg adapter from a step van that's been cut and welded to be more of a 45?
It's a vacuum booster angle bracket, that I'm also using as a firewall reinforcement for the clutch master cylinder...... The hydro booster isn't supposed to fit this, According to vendors. Had to thread the pushrod, do a little messing around and it looks like it'll work to me 😁

I drilled a hole through the frame vertically and put a piece of all thread through the frame. Then secured it with nuts on the top and bottom of the frame. The all thread then extended down to the gas tank strap.

Is a plate bolted to the bottom of the frame with a thru hole (or C shaped) for the exhaust and stud off the bottom an option? Hard to tell exactly how much space you’re working with.

Personally I would extend that strap up to the frame, but with everything painted that’s probably not an option.

Shitty sketch but basically gusset the corner and move the strap up so it comes across more flat and the load is spread between the bottom and the rear of the tank.

Compared to the rest of the build, that fuel tank bolt strap original or not looks janky.

ok.....so where would you mount this PSC reservoir, and secondly- those of you that use this pump setup

- do you think it's going to have a suction/priming issue with the inlet being lower than the pump?
Firewall looks to be the easiest.
Facing towards the back would make plumbing the easiest if its on the engine.
facing towards driver fender looks like I'll have some issues with hose management and fitting to the fender.
Thoughts?

Here's how I set it up on my Scout. It's Litterally as high as possible the feed line is level with the top of the pump. Haven't had any suction issues when wheeling at all. The vent line Litterally hits the bottom of my hood insulation.

Its now a pretty modified centech- which i would never suggest someone buying. Go with a painless.

I'm using a program to make my wiring schematic now- since they refuse to supply one, and act like you wiped snot on their mother's drapes when you ask for it.

Here's an unfinished version of my lights.
I'm working on it daily (most of the time).... I'm hoping to get it going in the next month or so (I can only wish!)

sorry- been busy and haven't updated!~

the TBP steering shaft was about 2.5" too long to even think about fitting. so i chopped it down and fixed that situation.

This Molex connector on the Spal fan wasn't what I wanted. Deutsche connectors FTW. Amphenol if you want a cheaper alternative. I will tell you though, its easier to get kit forms from places like prowireusa and other places.... ive got a pile of random locks and pins from my recent wiring adventures trying to piece things together.

not crazy about this hose- will come up with a better solution

figured out what to do with my exhaust and tank strap situation- using two holes already in the frame rails.

Open barreled splices with Raychem SCL is the way things are done. This specific one is ignition on to the control side of the relays.
