Halp me.......

I'm adding a backup camera to an existing older system, It seems simple, But I'm running into problems.

2006 Silverado
2014 Kenwood DNX981HD in dash reciever.

Master Tailgater backup camera

Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1999-2006 Tailgate Handle Backup Camera

Instructions seem simple, connect trigger and 12v source from back up lights, Ground to frame, connect yellow RCA to rear of receiver, and tie the green trigger wire to the head units Purple/white to trigger the display..

when all done it acts like its turning the camera on, but no display. I checked the RCA, trigger wire on the head unit, Ground, and back up trigger wire, I also separated the constant 12v hot, and the back up circuit. Same results.

Head unit will except a CMOS camera or other, It's hooked up as other.

So what am I doing wrong? or is the head unit no good?

OR WTF. three days of frustration.:mad3::mad3:

I'm still having a grainy picture, looks like I need to add a filter for the LED's when the camera is on without the aftermarket pods it's crystal clear, once the added LED pods come on the picture gets fuzzy and grainy, so ordered a $6 Chicom filter to go with the $20 Chicom pods.
Pictures to follow. (Tomorrow)
