I know my chances of success are ultra low here. But CZ-USA is being pretty useless, and can’t find parts for their own guns. Hoping someone can help.

About 6 weeks ago, I bought a CZ TS2. This is an entry-level competition 9MM. Total pleasure to shoot, heavy as hell, soft recoil, outstanding trigger. I was looking for something like this, but wanted it to be capable of getting optics mounted. This gun isn’t, but there’s a very reputable machine shop that can modify it for that. Anyway, I’ve got a soft spot for CZ (I own two Dan Wessons, and have always wanted a CZ-75 variant. So, I bought this.

After that initial few boxes of shells, I tore it down, and sent the slide off along with an optic to get machined.

The post office lost it. Yep, I’m a dumbass, and didn’t even insure it properly. So I was preparing to get hosed. But CZ is telling me they can’t get a new slide at any price. Effectively, my options are to buy a new competition slide from the one company that makes them (total of about $1300) or buy a new pistol (used price of about $1300) and roll the dice again that maybe it also gets turned into a paperweight during the mailing process.

In other words, I don’t see how CZ can enjoy their reputation if they make no spare parts. Their rep told me they can only get replacement slides for striker-fired weapons, not for external hammer models.

Anyone have any way they can help here? Can’t imagine what that would be, but wanted to ask.

CZ-USA seems to have almost no social media presence to harass, BTW.

Send in the lower and tell them to fix it. :flipoff2:

You might post a WTB ad in the various forums. Don’t give the back story or the jakals will bend you over. There HAS to be someone out there that got the $1.3K slide that wants to recoup a little on it. You will likely be waiting a while.

Did you reach out to one of the specialty CZ shops like Home

They might have a connection or one kicking around from a project. Also post on the Brian Enos forums, lots of CZ addicts over there.

Haven’t talked to Cajun. I’ll reach out to them. I talked to CZ-Custom, and they’re the only one that visibly offers a sort-of option. As in, it would be a one-off.

Thanks for the heads up on the Brian Enos forum, I never would’ve found that.

Buy the new gun for the price of the new slide. But buy it from a place like Cajun or CZC that can mill it for you before shipping to your FFL. Then you have a spare frame you can decide to keep or sell. This way no extra shipping to/from the place to get it milled, etc.

An you never know. I have had mail get dropped off that they lost a year prior:laughing:

+1 for CGW.

I don't know for certain, but on the shadow II orange, the slide is hand fit to the lower. I wonder if that causes some complications on offering a replacement slide?

That could definitely cause a problem. But they’re acting like this is the rarest gun ever. There’s 3 on the shelf at my local gun store. So, a handmade Bentley or whatever, this isn’t. But say it was—this would be Bentley telling me something like “oh, you lost your key in the mail?? Sucks to be you—those are hand-fitted. Maybe buy another car, or see if the post office will reimburse you for a whole car since they lost the key.”

Yeah, that sucks.

I would potentially be interested in the lower if you can't find a solution. I love my Czs.

Sorry I missed this response. CGW was very quick to respond, but didn’t have any suggestions that would fit a TS2. Thank you, though!
