Little KEI Trucks

Dang.... We could use one of these little trucks on the ranch. That would be great for moving hay, rocks and of course tons of horse shit. The area we are in is SXS and off highway vehicle friendly. If we could get farm tags; it would be a slam dunk. :smokin::smokin::smokin:

Buddy of mine just got a 4x Toyota version of one of these and I'm kinda jealous. :smokin:

I'm seeing at least five distinct kei trucks driving around where I live. That's a 150% increase in popularity since whenever it was that I posted there was a couple of them rolling around.

They now roughly equal the number of TTB Rangers I see locally and handily exceed the number of 1st gen Tacoma and older Toyotoa trucks kicking around locally (i.e. ignoring the shit I see commuting).

They were popular here years ago and have died off since sxs's were allowed to drive on county gravels and highways, and in most towns.

Found out that the State of Massachusetts is allowing Kei trucks on the roads.

Meanwhile, NYS is bellyaching about the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) & the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions requirements. Mebbe one can squeak by with a farm plate- :shaking:

Does NY allow people to run around on those 49cc scooters? Way more emissions per cc in those than a kei truck that still has all the factory parts.

We see a lot of golf carts and SXS thingys around these parts. They actually do quite well with old people and traffic. Dang; I should have gotten a golf cart for my dad years ago. It would have been just enough for him to go the library, store or burger stand. He is 91y/o now; can hardly walk 20 feet.

there is one of these things in almost every farm pasture around here in SW OK. most of them dont run and they dont care to look for the parts.
