Leaf spring centering pin fuckaround

Guess the new rear springs use a larger centering pin bolt. 1 side is gonna need a longer one so I can bolt the parking brake cable back to it.
In addition to that, the stock rear blocks/bump stops...these guys

Have a hole for the centering pin to sit in at approx 5/8. Nub depth of about 5/16.

Head on new spring is 3/4.

Can I get 1/2" spring centering bolts with a 5/8 round head on them to make shit work? Am I overthinking shit and just go at er with a die grinder and make the pins fit? Weld the springs to the axle and send it?

Overthinking it, make it happen! Looks like same thing I had going on on my 87 3/4 4wd ford... I opened up the hole on the block and moved on.

Enlarge the spring pad/block to 3/4".

Weld a piece of threaded rod to the new spring bolt to extend it for the E-brake cable bracket.

or fuck around for a couple hours getting longer bolts, grinding the hex heads into 5/8" rounds and swapping them out
if you clamp the leaves together on both sides of the bolt it can be relatively easy to swap them out

Just put the pin over the hole and hit it with your purse til it fits.
