So this is where I am at.
Just pulled the junk into the shop for final assembly.
Long time ago I was rugburn on the pbb.
Land Cruiser owner for decades.
Had this 4Runner following me around for more than 15 years.
Finally getting it going.
More to come.

A neighbor gave me the original rusty 4Runner in 2007.
I stripped the rig, clearance the fenders, ran 35”a on it in 4low for a few years until I parked it.
Fast forward three years and a relocation from PNW to Indiana, I frenched 63”’s out back and RUF upfront with a new fabricated hanger and 16” 5150’s with shock hoops front and rear.
5.29 V6 spool with discs in back and Aussie locked up front.
RuffStuff 1 ton tie rod and draglink.
Sixshooters and Fj80 flanges.
22RE
W56 Marlin Heavy Duty clutch
2.28x2 Marlin Crawler 21 spline
The hoarding list goes on for 15 years

This build has a lot of trucks in it since it’s inception.
1. Original 85 4Runner
2. Donor 88 4Runner bodyshell from Texas
3. Entire 86 4Runner 22RE engine, wiring harness and fuel system from a minty 114k mile truck my buddy gave me.

The original 22R is on deck for a rebuild including turbo pistons, Total Seal rings, ARP head studs, and Got Propane turbo induction.

Sweet!

What's the wheeling look like in the Indiana area?

We have several private parks as well as several State ORV recreation areas.
Much wheelin is really on private lands though ;-)

Typical Midwest wheeling.
Creeks, dirt, rolling uphills, rocks in select areas.
Had the afternoon to work out here.
Sorting and assembling clutch and brake lines,
Firewall is almost complete.
Maybe this evening I will trim and fit the blue trucks doghouse to Texas body.

Yanked the rear end and springs out yesterday to rebuild spring packs and button up fuel lines, brake lines and exhaust.

Rainy weather here.
Fire going in the shop.
Trying to get the rear end sorted out.
Having the 4Runner up in the air helps out BIGTIME

Fabricated some hangers for extra sliding windows from my parts stash and a local Poplar slab for floating shelves on either side of our bed for one of my wife’s Christmas gifts.
Been plugging away at the 4Runner too.

Gonna be dragging itself out and get it done.
Minor list of things.
Just takes the precious commodity of time, which now is so short since I went back to work a year ago
