Las Vegas Recommendations

Tried to make this short, but I suck at that.

It's my wife's brother's birthday this weekend. We're reasonably close to him and his wife as a couple. I like him as far as BILs go, but I think the only times I've hung out with him without my wife were my bachelor party and his bachelor party.

Somehow we got roped into joining them in Vegas this weekend. Flying down Saturday morning, back Sunday morning.

I didn't want to go, but my my MIL offered to watch the kids, and my wife and I could use 24 hours away from those shits (9 month old and nearly 6 year old, they're great, but a lot of work).

I thought it was gonna be a bigger trip, sounds like it's just the 4 of us. We used to do stuff with them all the time before we had kids (they don't have any) and now we do it less.

Staying at Planet Hollywood. Sister in Law booked a cabana by the pool for Saturday during the day.

Sister in Law is a chef and foodie, she booked dinner at Lotus of Siam I'm sure it'll be good. It's kind behind the Bellagio.

I think we'll go airport to pool to dinner, no problem there.

My issue, and the reason I came here to vent/ask for suggestions, is that the plans after dinner are shaky at best. Apparently the guys are going to a strip club after dinner, and the girls are going drinking. I recently learned that we're the only two guys. There may be another guy joining us, but it's a surprise to my BIL, so he either really wants to got to the strip club with me, or really wants to go to the strip club and don't care if I come or not.

I don't have an issue with strip clubs, but unless it's an event like a bachelor party, that's not how I want to spend my time/money.

My Vegas experience is that you should have a plan, if you don't you'll end up sucked into a casino or wandering aimlessly. When we were 21 we once asked a cab driver to take us to a strip club, in hindsight, he definitely took us to the one that paid him the most.

One of my most fun strip club experiences was actually 2big bronco 's bachelor party in Reno, there was a big UFC fight that night, and this was back when everyone cared about the UFC. When the main card came on everyone including the dancers just sat down with a beer and watched the fight. None of the dancer were trying to "earn" my money. We enjoyed watching the fight, with tits hanging out everywhere. There is a UFC fight this weekend, I don't follow it anymore.

Is there a topless sports bar?

Mild chance we end up bringing wives to strip club, I've never done that, could be interesting. My wife is down, but said she doubts her brother wants to go to a strip club with his sister. If we do, any recommendations where to go?

Assuming the strip club thing gets canceled, any other recommendations for where to go drinking/gambling after dinner?

Hookers and blow is the obvious answer, but my goal is to have multiple ideas.
 
May sound ghey but I have been to one strip club by my house and was there for 10 minutes before I left. Was with a group of guys and it just wasn't for me. Been to Vegas many, many time when the guys went to strip clubs and I always stay behind. Not how I want to spend my time or money. I would much rather park at a Pai Gow table and lose 200 than hand it to a stripper and pay 30 for a beer.

Saying all that, I can't imagine you can't find a topless bar or sports bar there although I don't know one off the top of my head.

On the gambling front, it depends. What do you play? What are your stakes? If you play slots, pretty much anywhere but if you don't want to lay out a lot for each pull, the older casinos are going to give you more bang for your buck. Belagio, Paris, etc to max bet a machine you may be $5 pull in. Go play that same machine at Luxor or NY, NY and it may be $3.

Same on the table games. Minimum bets are going to be higher and the higher priced casinos. $5 a hand table aren't going to exist at the Venetian for example.
 
So there are some girls your wife went to high school with that are currently dancing there.... your wife doesnt know. That could make it very entertaining or awkward.

All the big name clubs are very expensive to get into... Aisin got any recomendations for tallent off the strip?

Id sugest wandering in old town if you are going to wander. Maybe sugest you all go there and ride the coaster at the top of the pointy thing and zip lines down fremont street. It will be expensive but still cheaper then Little Darlings (my favorite strip club there.) Also table limits are lower on fremont street as well as food prices.

If your a fan of Pawn Stars, hit up thier shop on the way to fremont and be impressed with how much different and less impressive it looks compared to tv. They do have a lot of neat history pieces inside there.

I’m no help. I haven’t been to a club or bar in years. Not really a fan of people. It’s much cheaper to sit in my pool and drink.

Which club? Just in case? Also my wife is 36, most of her classmates are past their stripping prime.

Agreed.

I like craps, my wife likes blackjack and roulette. Probably budget $200 each for gambling. Understood to stay away from the big fancy casinos. I wish we were staying on Fremont street. Anything near Planet Hollywood that’s less upscale?

Didn’t even think of V2R, it is this weekend, but likely nothing to see. They start Friday morning.

Doesn't start in Vegas. It starts closer to Beatty.
Doesn't end in Reno. It ends in Dayton.

Stupid to keep calling it Vegas to Reno but no one knows other cities here. The news in Reno doesn't even mention it.
 
Learn how to play craps.... Gun range.... Fuck the strip clubs. I would get the fuck out of Vegas and go exploring. :smokin::smokin::smokin:

The point of a strip club isn't to throw money at strippers. The point of a strip club is to eat whatever loss-leader food they're using as a pretext to get you in the door and/or to pick up a hooker (many/most strippers do "side jobs") that has basically zero chance of being a cop.
