I hope the EV class expands next year. I wonder if any of the factory electric vehicles would make a good base for that,
how long is this race? are they setup for a quick change battery?

Probably worried about reliability or battery issues turning the ev car into a trail tampon in the rocks. If the prove themselves this year, I bet Dave lets them in the rocks next year.

I'd rather see an EV IFS 4runner in 4600 than a UTV
at least until there are ~10 cars competing. or hell, even 5.
All of the ev mfgs need a little endurance racing in their life to push battery longevity innovation.
The normally one-sided, super anti-OHV SFgate actually just came out with a piece on KOH this year that shows both sides! I guess journalism is not dead.
