I heard this mentioned on the “racing on the rocks” podcast, but with no real details. The ultra4 site doesn’t seem to have any real info, other than a $35 subscription to KOH TV, and no description. I am not on fb, does anyone know any details?

I've not heard anything either, I bought it during the live show and they said the first 1000 people would get a free t shirt.

Do you have to have the premium subscription to watch it this year?

Hmm. Looked on insta, I couldn't find any more information.

Dave talked about it on the preshow. He said that the normal free show is still a thing and will be better than last year. The premium allows you to basically pick whatever feed you want full screen. Allegedly includes in car footage. There is a lesser fee for just KOH, the 35$ is for the whole ultra4 season.

I bought it the night of the preshow because I'm a sucker for a free tshirt.

Regarding Ultra4 TV:

We will have more information coming out shortly. Last night was the first announcement / tease to get people excited and reward the early adopters / fanbase.

The big pictures is to still have a FANTASTIC free broadcast just as in years past. That is not going to change and it will only get better as we evolve the platform.

The advanced content (Ultra4 TV) allows for more data, additional views (think Helicopter shots, or pit crew cams, etc), exclusive interviews and content (like in car audio and video of specific drivers, in-depth product reviews, insider information, special produced non-race content around builds or new tech, etc...), being able to watch a specific obstacle instead of just the main race programming, telemetry information, etc…

It’s an exciting place for us to expand coverage, try new things and new technologies, and offer a deeper experience. It will also be a place for others in the space to tell cool stories as well. Super stoked about the opportunity for growth here. Dave's given a lot of creative leeway for the team to really think outside the box and try to out dream him. haha. Hard to keep up with him, though.

The $35 is an annual subscription, so it's not just KOH (although it's worth it JUST to watch people be dumbasses on Backdoor all day and heckle the large screen smart tv while drinking beer). So yeah, for basically $3 a month, it's full access to Ultra4 TV, including all the regional races, nationals, etc.. Sorry if this feels over the top. I'm just stoked. The possibilities here are awesome. Honestly, if you want to be an early adopter, the first 1000 subscriptions get a free event t-shirt (normally $25), so it's really just $5 more for a full year of programming.

Bottom line, the free show will continue to be free, continue to be awesome, and continue to always be offered.

If you want more, Ultra4TV is a step in that direction. I hope that helps. More details will be forthcoming. I don't know if I can post the link here, but if you go to the top of the www.ultra4racing.com page, there's a link to subscribe that says "Subscribe to Ultra4TV Here" in the breaking news section, or you can sign up on the www.ultra4racing.com/live page itself.

I’d buy it if it would let me stream on my Apple TV without having to mirror my phone or iPad to it. Gotta be a better way.

This was one of the reasons that would compel me. I stream through headphones via my phone and had to jump through hoops last year to listen in.

I normally used to use livestream or youtube app on my roku. I would tend to use FB on my phone when on the go because it was less data intensive and handled my shitty cell service better. Then I can run tracking/PBB/IBB/whatever on my laptop.

Yup.... only time of year my table makes me look like a white collar!!!!!

This.

I bought it within 10 minutes of it being mentioned on the preshow, even though I'll be out there in person, but no email or any notification of a free shirt yet... I got the impression there will be premium content all year? And before I head out there I should hopefully have better streaming for the Shootout or any T1 coverage. Well worth $35 imo

So did anybody get their Free T-shirt link?

That is what’s known as a Dongle!!!!!

So far the premium feed is delivering! Live shots from all helos and drones. Very few commercials. Needs a mic down on the starting line so we can hear engines roaring.

Announcers are awful as always though.
