King Coilover Spring Plate Differences

I see raised, and I see flat. Can someone tell me why I'd want one over the other. Does the raised plate restrict bottoming out or protect the shock more than a flat one? Is it just aesthetics?

The raised sets about 1" higher than the flat giving you clearacne to other brackets or the front C's if you need it. It can affect the lenght of the coil you need.
