There should be no reason I can't add Powerstroke mufflers and exhaust pipes to a built engine and have it be just as quiet as factory.
I can think of using quality headers like Hooker or building your own, with very thick flanges and primaries. Then just a huge exhaust. And you'd be willing to sacrifice 20-50hp easily in the modern day when 500hp is easily attainable. So make a 550 hp stroked big block, and you have a totally quiet 500 rwhp vehicle.
I honestly have never seen such a thing. Rolls Royce makes silent 550hp vehicles.
Are any aftermarket tinkerers doing this? I'd like a 500hp truck that's as quiet as a 300 I-6 in an F150. wihtout the ford belt squeaks of course.
