Taking a vacation into Kanab Utah next week. Looking to book an UTV tour one of our days there. I'll be along with my girlfriend and her 10 year old daughter. I'm used to small midwest country so I really just want a tour to follow and not deal with reading a map or getting lost in a huge desert (way out of my normal zone). Anyway plan to book with the Kanab tour company and leaning toward the Inchworm Arch. Does anyone have any thoughts good or bad on them or much better ideas?

If you get a vehicle that is 4WD and can air it down a little; you could make it to "peek-a-boo" slot canyon. Hog Canyon is a fun trail; I am not sure where "inch-worm" is; I myself have never run Hog Canyon. Check out the "Moqui Caves"; well worth the climb. Barracks Trail is a fucking blast! Run it from Pink Corral Sands to Mt. Carmel. (SXS or Jeep)

You could also make a run out to Tuweep overlook of the Grand Canyon! Easy trail; but you need truck tires for the last few miles (sharp rocks). You will also need reservations with the Parks Service!

Enjoy.:smokin::smokin::smokin:

Dunno nothin about Mormonville, but Kanab sounds backwards.

Heck yeah adventures would probably do good. they're in that area.

no I don't. thats his youtube handle I guess. its fabrats brother in law Ben.

No idea on the touring companies but damn I love that area. Spent 8 days in the creeper van exploring around that and came home looking at houses and jobs around there.

You are a 4 hours or so from Valley of the Gods, Moki Dugway, Goosenecks, and even Monument Valley. WELL worth the day trip if you have the time to kill a day.

You can do all that in a Corolla. lol Just FYI. 4x4 not needed at all.

Enjoy. It's a beautiful area IF you like that type of landscape.

To do the places I mentioned?

Shit, I followed a Honda Civic around most of those places when I was there in November let alone June when the roads are hard as a rock. It's all paved or graded. Corolla would make it without issue

GPS tracks??

I followed some that I got off the internet all the way across my state boarder to boarder
I did vet the source, but it was spot on

I have seen enough rental quality that I wouldn't rust renting anything for adventure purposed, but that Is just me

If you run in to any issues, i am relatively close if help is needed.

Wait... there's a sizable group of people that don't like that type of landscape?

I mean I get it... I think it's the most beautiful place in the US and I'd give both of my left nuts to live there and not everyone has the extreme feelings I have about the area but... there are people that actually don't like that type of environment?

If you want to check out the longest bar in AZ fredonia has the buckskin tavern.

Ex wifes grandparents lived in kanab, cool area. They were able to borrow a bunch of quads and we all explored a bunch of cool shit. Unfortunately don't remember where any of it was.

I agree but yeah, I have met people who don't like it, or at least prefer a beach or big city.

Love the mountains and all but Utah is amazing. I get there as much as I can. I am always amazed that every time I turn a corner, its beautiful. When I spent the week of Thanksgiving, it was even more amazing as there was basically nobody on the road, especially off the beaten paths. I would drive, explore, hike and not see another soul for hours. Once for about 8. Very cool and also sort of eerie, in a good way.

I'd love to live there myself. Trying to make that happen soon.
