Does anyone have any feedback on Kaka as a company or their products? It looks like they are sold out of Georgia, but I am sure they are made overseas. Kaka Industrial EB-4816M Magnetic Sheet Metal Brake, 48-Inch Magnetic

I am looking for a magnetic brake. 16 Ga. would be on the upper limit of what I would need to be doing and realistically 18 ga is more in line with what I need for what I want to get into. The 48" would be fine for 90+% of what I "think" I would be doing, but could forsee a handfull of times at present that a 60" could be handy.

I do not need to do production, I am wanting to do body panels and boxes. Versatility is the key.

I have a 48" finger brake, but how it is built I can't get bends close together going opposite directions like a "z" bend.

I have thoutght about using a beadroller but my experience is limited with those at this time.

I am not married to a specific machine or company at this time as I don't have enough experience with this.

What few sheet metal guys we have in my area don't care to futz around with little jobs like me.

I bought their swivel head band saw earlier this year and have been very happy with it. Picked it up during the black friday sale and it was cheaper than any other comparable saw out there.
Everything they sell is definitely imported. I just looked at my saw and there's nothing on the labels that say where it was made, but I'd say 99% that it's China.

If you look at their stuff, it's all very similar to the other import brands - like Grizzly, Baleigh, etc.

For that brake, I'd just base it off price and make sure nobody sell the same thing under a different brand cheaper.
I mean...I'd wager that these all come out of the same Chinese plant:

This one is out of stock, but if it comes back in, it's listed at $2549. I've bought tooling from them before. They're legit....or as legit as an import tool seller can be.

Or if you want to go directly to the source:

Depending how they're shipping that, you might get hit with some tarriffs and port fees, but I bet you'd still end up under $2k.

Thank you! You have given me some more option to look at.

I've owned 2 of their saws and met their staff at fabtech. They are all chinese but their products are solid.

The GA office is just a warehouse, I picked up my second saw there. Its near my office.

You going to Fabtech this year? I'm planning on going, but can't convince any of my friends to go to Chiraq with me for any reason.

Nah, I only go when it's in Atlanta. While I always learn stuff and find new vendors I can't justify a trip just for it.

I've never been before and really want to go. Likely I'll be by myself but that's ok.

You'll be fine. It a good show where even a joe nobody with a 1 man shop will still have just as much opportunity as anyone else there.

Get all the free gloves you can. Most all the glove companies will give you a pair if you stop and chat

I'm really excited, I've already pre registered. I've offered to pay the way of any of my friends but alas none of them want to go to Chicago, and I'm not taking a woman with me to ruin it all.

I think think all those 48" mag breaks come from the same source in Chi-Nah (I sure like hearing Trump say that)
I bought one from Eastwood because they had it on sale for $1999. I still haven't plugged it in to use it yet, lol because I haven't started on the project I bought it for.
I can post up the spec sheet if anybody wants to compare it to the other brands.
