Just solder this? Ramsey winch repair

I removed my winch to work on my steering. When I removed the wire from the terminal sticking out from the motor it kept spinning and I had to grab it with pliers to break loose the nut. Spinning the bolt broke the wires in the motor.

Do I just solder the wires back onto the bolt head and call it done?
 
Yup make sure your brushes are in the proper orientation. Going to need a lot of heat on that carriage bolt to get it to stick.

I went ahead and did it yesterday with my propane torch. It worked ok but the winch is making some really funny noises and when I pulled the drum off the spring that was in the there was in 5 pieces. So I guess I will be upgrading soon anyway unless I can find somewhere to buy parts and do a rebuild
 
I did this on a ebay Warn winch I bought.

It is is a very sketchy repair. I don't trust solder only so i crimped a lug and threaded the stud.
It works still but I know its gonna fail at the worst time.
