What's new

June 4th, 2004: Killdozer.

great watch, thanks for sharing

there was a hell of alot more to that story than i ever thought, but makes more sense now

Yeah, the Tread movie seemed pretty one-sided and not everything made sense, that link clears up a lot of the omissions. They definitely tried to paint him as unreasonable.

Knowing that the Dochefs lost the land to foreclosure originally, and Marv gave them the option to buy it at the other guy's price seems pretty reasonable. They made it sound like he backed out of the next deal and jacked the price up right away, but a couple of years had passed and zoning of the land changed.

The sewer line issue wasn't an issue at all until govt came along and he tried to play along with them. His septic was perfectly legal. Then the city comes by and offers to let him hook into the sewer at X cost, he agrees, then finds out an easement is required so he backs out. But because he started the process, he now fell under the city waste authority. Then they demand he comply or be fined. If he told them to fuck off instead of trying to work with them at all then it would still be legal today.

Maybe he was a little crazy, the audio tapes allude to that. But the good ol boy city govt was definitely out to fuck him.

WTF. Another video of people who DON’T care about the accuracy of the details. Sitting down to talk about it. Why is it that people love to sit and talk about it but don’t care enough to be remotely informed and accurate about details. I’m kind of bummed I gave that pile of trash a watch that their channel gets credit for.

Huh? You talking about LoreLodge, or Tread?

It sounded to me like they were looking into it further than the biased local who made Tread...

Is there more to the story that they didnt cover?

That’s the one part from the 18 minutes that’s worth a shit. Starting at 2 min 20 seconds the red headed dip shit says. That using AI to “research” the killdozer story, AI uncovered inaccuracies and lies by the writer of Tread, Patrick Brower. That’s about 3 min of the 18 that seems to be anything worth watching. One of the guys Heeymeyer took issue with wrote the story, lied about stuff, left stuff out.

Then right after that. The same red headed dipshit is talking about the “dozer battle” with whom he couldn’t remember. So someone else reminds him that Cody Doceph but that guy corrects him that it wasn’t a dozer battle, that he “used a backhoe or something”. These idiots are saying on camera that they researched it. But it doesn’t sound like they even watched tread to me. Let alone read transcripts of the incident or bothered to pay attention to even the shitty news coverage of the incident.

Cody first tried to take out the dozer with a front end loader, which didn’t work. Then later someone else tried to at least stop the dozer from moving with a scraper. Which also didn’t work, but was the impact that broke the radiator in it on his way to the hardware store.

Oh, youre talking about the Unsub video. Got it.
The hour+ LoreLodge video goes into a lot more detail than their off-the-cuff discussion.
yeah, I watched the lorelodge one like a month ago. I’m bitching about the unsub one that just bumped the thread. Not the original post. But the red headed dipshit I’m referring to above, is the lorelodge dude. So he either doesn’t remember his own work, or didn’t do the work and just read a script written by someone else in the hour long lorelodge “you were lied to about killdozer”.

My bad, I’m taking exception to whatever exwrench linked.
Unbunch your panties a tad there:homer:

That was just ~18.5 minutes discussing the challenges the Lore Lodge guys faced while researching the truth about the Killdozer situation, among 2-1/2 hours they spent drinking and bullshitting with the Unsub guys.

It wasn't any new information; rather, a bit of human interest about the LL guys.

And if you can un-clutch your pearls for a minute, the only thing he used AI for was to generate a transcript of Marv's tapes, which he then had to go correct and clean up (because AI sucks).

If you're going to be pissed about bad information, have some idea what you're talking about :flipoff2:

I am ass hurt, literally. Not sure why these fools blabbering about it bothers me but it did.
Probably just because its the standard youtube clickbait shit. They take and regurgitate all the same info that everyone already knows, do almost no work, and get clicks and likes and probably some money. They basically bullshit and contribute nothing, but make some kind of living by it somehow.

Its odd to see someone on youtube with good, new, actual information anymore, let alone the internets.

I seriously hope you're referring to the Unsub podcast clip (dudes bullshitting while drinking), not Lore Lodge's 77-minute video, which I believe had good research and an unbiased presentation.

I agree with this. I've never heard of LoreLodge before, and they look like annoying 12yos, but their video shows MH in a much more balanced light than anything I've read previously. They give more specific detail on the various subjective conflicts than most sources.

I've only watched Tread and it is written for the ones still alive. A lot of nuance was left out.

Haven't watched either. Just making huge assumptions based on what I typically see everyday.:flipoff2:

Good to know. I might watch the lorelodge one then.

I didn't know shit about LoreLodge (still don't, really) but after seeing them on Unsub I realized they're the ones who did the good KD story video that WhiteTrash303 posted.

This one goes over some key details that seem purposely left out of the movie.

TL/DR = Tread is heavy on the self-serving bullshit, but that^ LL video is respectable

EDIT: and the Unsub clip is not a source, just dudes bullshitting over drinks.
