Wind was coming the next morning so I put it out. Took way more water than I ever would have expected. 3500-3750 gallons.... Really reminds me that fire fighting is almost impossible......
The Flir was really cool to check over hot spots.

Water down, stirred, raked a over. Not bad.

Some PT 2x4 made a ladder for the swimming hole. Its cold AF!!!

Then worked on water, I used a husky can to hold more, its ~34 gallons. Added a hot water heater for the shower. That is a win, 100%. Used pex for the water lines. Ran a new line up to the bathroom sink also. So it sucks off the big bucket, if you want hot, you can dump some in the 5 gal bucket.

Rolling out for project time.... Daughter whined enough it's time to build the second cabin. Going to do it just like my shed. 12x16 shed roof. Wish me luck.

And then……..
An then I got sick AF..... At home with a fever and sinus gunk like you would not believe.....

I can only do so much in a day unfortunately. I was planning to stand the other wall Sunday, but woke up feeling extra shitty

Way too much progress way too quickly :flipoff2:
Hope you can get feeling better soon!

Java230

How's the wifi up there at your cabin?
Cell is not bad, enough to stream netflix. I have a cell based wifi that sucks.... 2gb and it dies. My wife has a decent one that works for streaming etc. The other just runs cameras etc.

No need to fear, man. I got fed up with members arguing all over the place for some of the stupidest shit. It was supposed to be a cool thread to share with folks and ended up with our neighbors finding this place to be full of morons. I still laugh at that.

Not like it matters what I tell you, but I've hated the way most houses are typically built for a long time.

Anyway, our fam came down with the same crud last week, Java. Killed our progress pretty hard. As of last night, (me the last in line), my orifices cleared out. Caught up on stuff today like I had been standing still for the last week.

wait
someone got in your shit IRL?

that's way fuckin' gay
Eh, no? Started showing a couple of our neighbors the progress from the thread and then it kept going on and on with dumb shit. Like the driveway, DNR bs, etc.. The people that stop by in person know what everything is. We all help each other and and they pretty quickly realized that people online couldn't tell what was going on. I may suck at explaining stuff a lot, but then again, I go with the assumption that all they guys on here have had more than enough experience to figure stuff out without pounding their fists over nothing. Lots of threads here are like this and it has made this place less and less enticing. The house thread turning into this made me want to ditch it altogether. Major meh, sometimes. So....without further ado :homer::laughing::flipoff2:

I can post progress pics here and there. But really, enough derail. I'm still loving Java's treehouse. Wishing we could have done the same.

Someone said treat this like sitting around a campfire, I added campfire of my friends.
I would for sure bust their balls but wouldn't Insult them to the point of fighting my supposed friends.

The dick measuring gets to be way too much, not even realistic.

I will still critique a detail or design if it seems prone to fail or succeed but I try to have some tact, not because this place is soft, it's just how I would like to carry myself.

I'm still pulling for both you and java.

My wife is on the local "buy nothing group" scored us a mini fridge, and a water dispenser. Uses a 5 gallon jug and does hot and cold. Both are awesome. I should probably do the electrical panel at some point.... My ghetto rigging is working, but we are adding more loads.... It has not tripped a breaker yet tho.

And she thought that "no trespassing" was too harsh for the neighbors, we have one right behind us that has trails all over and some dump onto our property. She got creative :lmao:

This might not work the way she wanted :lmao:

All the t1-11 that HD had is up. I need 5 more sheets. Rafters are in, front edge is blocked. I need to cut outlookers in and its ready to sheet. Not bad progress IMO. A few hours Saturday, half day Sunday, and a few hours Monday.

Need a bit more lumber, roof sheeting and maybe next weekend I can wrap up the roof.

I think the water heater needs a little roof over it...

Very ghetto, but really nice to have. Taking a hot shower after being all sweaty and dusty is really nice. I should probably strap that gas line up :lmao:

The amazon knockoff of the Milwaukee pump works great.

I tried. Different pin/width.... Unfortunately! Not a good copy 🤣

But it will pump 40 gallons on a charge easy.
