In my opinion, I think Mike was frustrated he couldn't do what he used to do in his prime. You could see him trying his signature moves but his body just couldn't keep up. I've seen that in older athletes who try to hang onto their youth. No doubt he still hits like a truck, just can't bob and weave like he used to.
Yeah, he's my age and I can tell you he's going to feel this for a while.

Honestly, I think Paul was just as winded as Tyson when they went to their corners. I actually thought Tyson had a better breathing pattern.

.

My advice? Don't bother. It is best to just move on pretending this never happened. Wish I'd missed it.

x100

Overhyped Sparing Match

*sure wanted Mike to get a KO

When Jake kept hugging into tyson first round, Boos came out. People were disappointed. Why the fuck was he hugging onto Mike from the get go? Punk must have been afraid Tyson would forget the gentlemans agreement and KO the fuck out of him :flipoff2:

It’s a common technique, particularly among heavyweights. If you’re substantially taller or heavier than your opponent you lean on them the first few rounds. They’re effectively forced to support your weight and it tires them out.

Mike has never had a big gas tank. It was solid strategy. But yeah, it’s fucking boring to watch.
