Saw this yesterday, so damn sad. Husky...

What triggers a dog to kill an infant? Dog was fine for 6 weeks then not.

I am haunted by the two 8yr old pit bulls that killed a baby and a 2yr old child while the mother was on top of the toddler to save it.

Why snap like that?

Hay' Usps
Snowflake alert..
I've Never been bit by anything over like 20# ...
Big dogs rock...
"Notta dog" on the other hand?
When was the last time you read a report of someone being mauled to death by a Chihuahua?

Next time you have a thought....just let it go. :flipoff2:

:lmao:
But to make such a ruckus of "national Imma pussy day" seems :lmao::laughing::grinpimp:!

:rainbow:

well, typically when you use the worn 'mauled' you are referring to an injury being inflicted at some point.
When an animal comes to attack you, and your first thought is 'how far can I kick this thing" this isn't an animal that is going to do any mauling

Did you read the post I was referring to?

Some kind of pack hierarchy maybe?

When I lived in Washington, outside of Olympia, I volunteered at a wolf sanctuary. One year we discovered that one of the females wasn’t as “fixed” as we were led to believe. Three females, and one male were born. A handful of us were chosen to work with the pack. When they were about a year old I was challenged by the male. Three of us were in the enclosure doing some cleanup. The other two in the enclosure distracted him so I could get out. He never had a problem with me once I was out of his turf.

When our oldest kid was born we had a female AmStaff. When we brought the baby home from the hospital we let Rose meet her, we never had any issues. Of course, we never left them alone together either.

I think that's the only answer.

We have had rotties for years. Mine were bred to have solid temperaments. They have all liked people and kids. No growling or acting a fool if somebody came up. The males had a wait and see attitude and the females all wanted petting.
But I always made sure the dogs didnt have a chance to screw up. If one ever bit one of my grand daughters if would not see the sun set.

my buddy has a shepard that was a dropout from military school, he has a screw loose but well trained.
was helping him out last year and would show up every day, I would wait in the car til he got him settled down and do an introduction, then all was good til next day.
I pull in one day and get out of the bronco make my way to the back of it in front of his garage he and the dog come out the house about 175ft away me and dog lock eyes and I instantly bolt for the garage door 30 ft away the race is on....... I get the garage door closed as the dog hits the brakes and does a sliding face plant into the door....we were good the rest of the day.

Oh, and my next door neighbors PB just mauled one of his chickens to death, not a big deal.... but as someone previously mentioned, why now? It was fine with the other pets then all the sudden, wasn't? We keep our Kids and animals at arms length from that thing.

This was down the street from me, i was home when it happened... didn't see or hear anything. Don't even know exactly which house it was, although I have ideas.
40yr old man couldn't fight off his own dog..... scary af.

We have five dogs of which two are 75lbs each and the other three are psycho jack Russels. JRT's attack whatever is being attacked or is screaming in pain. I wouldn't have a chance if my dogs turned on me. Unless, unless our six cats help me.

Our fat white fluffy thing came from the Lakota reservation. Apparently they had a pack of feral dogs and they killed (ate?) a young girl. They ended up shooting all the dogs and gathered the puppies and relocated them. My wife paid a surprising amount of money for this fluffy squishy thing that was found under a trailer. Awesome dog, despite being bred from the beasts.
