Is my 300xc lazy?

300's sign off on top. Grab another gear..

RK head and jetting helps that a bunch though. Completely changed my '13

Loose the gnarly pipe. FMF fatty or the ktm sxs (same pipe) is whatcha want.

I broke a lot of stuff with the green spring in. I tended to ride right where things started happening in the rpm though. Much happier with the soft red spring an backed out most the way.

I cooked my motor, tore it apart an left it in a box for a year, Putting it together I got the spring for the powervalve linkage on the side of the cylinder on backwards. It was a torqey sumbitch but would never come on the pipe:homer: Took a while to figure that one out.

Changing the map on the older bikes didnt do much. If no switch it was just a wire that you unplugged. Have heard the sx cdi did help though..

'07 is a dinosaur. your easiest fix is to ditch that bitch and get something a lil fresher

Did this get fixed,

300's sign off on top. Grab another gear..

Ya, pretty sure that was it.

More top end?

If I rode more, I'd like to try a beta 200rr. Just hardly get out more than a few times a year, and it's usually with the family. So in reality, I should get a Tw200 since I'm following kids around anyway.

Id be curious if they need more carb?

Mine is bored to 40mm and their is no sign of stopping up top, way more there than I can handle which is not saying much.

Lack of a top end was my biggest complaint

More top end?
Lugged lower, way the fuck more torque, and it just pulls now. You will let off before it does:grinpimp:

I picked up a 150xcw. Easily the most fun bike I have ever ridden. Its kinda like taking your wheeler on the freeway though. Rail the holy fuck out of it, get kinda scared but really you arent doing 65:lmao: It is an awesome fuck off bike. Not so great if you are going out with 450's and 300's.

I think they have enough fuel as it is. Head and pipe make a big difference:smokin: I dont think I would want any more power on mine

I think the beta 200 and old KTM 200s are meant to be more of a "125 with torque" feeling instead of "125 but a little faster" like the 150s. Grain of salt though, i've ridden a 150 but never touched a 200 from either make.

Just curious, I think the 150 has a bigger carb than the 250/300. I didn't realize mine was bored out until I was having hell getting the JD jet settings my buddy used to even come close to working on my bike. A 40 pilot jet is mandatory on mine.

Never been around a 200.

Everybody so far has been impressed with this stupid 150. It'll lug a lil but is much happier being ran balls out.

Its great for following the old man around or just fucking off. As even the lil stuff feels big:laughing: I fucking love that bike!

I have read that the carbed 150's were a lil more zappy than the efi bikes

My 150 dont have a carb:flipoff2:

I had to bump up to a 165 main on the 300 after the head. Just doing that made a big difference. Pilot is still whatever came stock

Usually run a 170 at home and a 160 at altitude. Bike is supposed to be on a 36 or 38 pilot but it will not idle at all without a 40.

I was wondered if I had leaking crank seals etc. but I did a 100% top to bottom rebuild with the same exact carb setting.
