thanks dude, I’m potentially $400 mo poor

Sweet! What are you bidding on?

Are you interested in shipping me any stuff I buy? (probably nothing bigger micrometers or maybe a chuck)

I fucking want that shear and brake, and would pay for it, but then shipping and....I'm not ready to stop making money storing cars and boats just yet.

I have no problem doing that for ya! I am watching the 20T press. I have a cheap 10T but it would be nice to do dimple dies. I’d like one of those grinder pedestals but they are looking a little rough

I know where you could get a hay baler flywheel that could be used to make a grinder pedestal stand...

Auction done. Amazing how cheap some of the stuff went for.

Hydraulic broaching press $7.50 CAD

Two forklifts (running I think) about $600 CAD each.

10 foot hydraulic press brake $100 CAD

"Ferrule making machine" $7.50 CAD

10,000 lbs radial arm drill $100 CAD

Milling machine for parts $7.50 CAD

Some stuff went cheap!
I have to pick up my new rivet buster this weekend 😂
hopefully it works and my 10cfm compressor has just enough to power it!

I can’t believe the 20t press went for $850 that’s bordering new price territory! If I had 3 phase I would have bid on one of those grinders

I should have bid more on the lot of pullers, I didn’t realize pullers are so expensive!!!

I didn't know a "tap disintigrater" was a thing. I thought everyone just used carbide end mills and EDM machines. You gotta be breaking a hell of a lot of taps to justify a special machine.

It's just a sinker EDM. But you have to think that many old school machinests think that lathe is spelled lath, so calling something a tap disintigrater sells better than sinker EDM.

Kind of like whoever posts and ad with one title and then sells a bunch of unrelated stuff in the same posting

This one?

Seems like it's got a pretty huge through bore in the spindle, and the back end would be just as important in centering the work as the front end.

Cool machine, imagine if it had some more table on that side, way lower than the primary side of course. You could swing some huge stuff.

Odd that it's a bigger chuck than the one on the right though.

Known as a hollow spindle lathe, used mostly for things like drill stem. Lets you just pass the end of the joint through the head to work on the end without needing a 40' bed. Double the chucks for centering/holding power, and would be used with outboard support stand when working long pieces to prevent them from whipping around.

local machine shop is liquidating through a local auction house. tons of tools i know nothing about, but probably could be some good deals.

no affiliation - just popped up in my morning feed.

Seems like all the tooling, cabinets and little stuff already has people bidding. I'm sure some of it will go cheap but in order to actually pick up the stuff that does you'd wind up submitting $10-$30 bids for so much stuff it would be like $1k+ of exposure. The big machines look like they'll probably go stupid cheap.

I want this so bad but I know that I don't need it and don't have space for it and my shop is already organized around a big vertical mill and my upgrade path from there involves holding out for a horizontal with a universal head.

https://southcoast.craigslist.org/tls/d/goffstown-brown-and-sharpe-horizontal/7233935382.html

Up for sale is my 1940 something ? Brown and sharpe model #12 horizontal production milling machine. This machine was built to make money!!!! and has made hundreds of thousands of dollars in its own existence !

This machine features full automation of predetermined machining tasks of a horizontal mill including face milling, profiling and gang machining parts or multiple parts.

Should you have a use for this fine machine tool of americana history it can be yours with a FREE load out on to your truck or trailer !!

I have some tooling available however NOT included in this price.

If need be, I have the capability to move this machine and install it in your shop for additional cost.

^You're stupid not to go pick that up right now.

Once again, all the good shit is up in the NE.

There's probably a grand worth of accessories and supports there. Depending what he wants for the other tooling, you could be getting one hell of deal on a machine ready to go to work.

Bring this thing in, and then when you find a big universal machine, ditch your vertical.

I'm sure it's a good deal but I am space constrained. A horizontal that doesn't have a universal head is a waste to me because I need to then retain a vertical mill and I lose space that can be used for a surface grinder, big press or some other machine that does things milling machines can't.

https://nh.craigslist.org/tls/d/sunapee-monster-walker-turner-triple/7235674214.html

$200 is a screaming deal.

Walker Turner three gang drill press. Was pulled from a machine shop that was winding down operations, fully functional and sold as is. Motors are three phase, this was run via a rotary phase converter but could easily be configured to run via VFD. Takes a number 2 Morse taper and includes compatible Jacob's chucks with chuck keys.

I bought this planning to use in my own shop, but subsequently found a less monstrous drill press that better fits my needs. It is currently disassembled for easy transport, with the heads, base, and table separate. I have a shop crane and can help you load this into an open trailer.

Photo of plaque is from base, plaque on the heads themselves isn’t legible.

Cool lathe but I stand by my opinion that stupid wide is better than stupid long.

https://worcester.craigslist.org/hvo/d/goffstown-long-bed-monarch-lathe/7234058220.html

For sale is my 1932? 14" x 156"Monarch lathe.

Actual swing over the ways is 16-1/2" and 13 FEET BETWEEN CENTERS !!!

This lathe also features a full length drip/coolant tray and flood cooling via mechanical pump as well as a Taper Attachment !!!!

These combination of features are a rare find. Basically all options were installed from the factory!!!

It is a bolt on plain back spindle for bolt on chucks with an 8 speed gearbox

Included with this lathe is:

(2) chucks -12" 3 jaw scroll mounted to a faceplate currently installed
-14" 4 jaw independant
- follow rest
- (2) steady rests

I bought this beauty with hopes and dreams of installing it in my fab shop..... however I do not have space enough for it and it is time for it to move on.....(3 years later)

This had a full electrical update prior to purchase and has a 7-1/2 hp modern motor installed with modern updated controls and came from a working job shop. (208/230/460 Volts 3PH)

I have a forklift onsite to load this beautiful machine tool on your truck or trailer at no charge. Approximate weight is around 9,000 lbs overall dimensions about 18 feet long and 3 feet wide.

If need be, I have the capability to move this machine and install it in your shop for additional cost.
Looking to recoup my investment of $4,500.00 ...... However I am open to reasonable CASH offers in Person.

I may not be able to hit the bottom of the tuna can, but I can sure as hell blow the sides right out.

I watched a much nicer, newer version of a monarch about that size get scrapped. Sat at the scrap yard for a few months. Could have got it for a little more than scrap price. They finally let me pull the tailstock and a few parts off for Keith Rucker before it got cut up. Really sad.

Cincinnati shaper. As usual the good stuff isn't as overpriced as the crappy little bench-top machines. This one even has an electric motor already on it.

https://maine.craigslist.org/tls/d/rumford-cincinnati-shaper/7257750118.html

I saved this Cincinnati 24" Heavy Duty shaper from the scrap yard. Even though it worked, it was deemed obsolete by my place of work.

It was moved outside in the beginning of Summer, so it has seen the elements. I now have it at home, sprayed with Kroil and under a tarp.

I wanted to give it a good cleaning and use it in my home machine shop, but I just don't have the room.

I have $400 into it. Not looking for a profit. Just looking for a good home and to get my money back.

Also, I am open to trades! Precision measuring tools, heavy duty drill press, surface grinder, cutting tools, a fourwheeler/dirtbike for my 11 year old, electric chain hoist, boom sticks, try me!

You haul it and offer me something that makes me feel like I'm not losing money and it's yours!

I'd grab that if it were nearby. Shapers are all the rage now. I'd love to play with it for a bit.

Fuck that thing is a beast! I’d hate to try and move it but I bet it’s rigid as fuck.

Why the head shake? 2 grand for that is definetly reasonable, especially with free rigging.

I live where Bridgeports sell for $1200 and sit on CL forever at $2k

$2k gets you an immaculate bench-top lathe with tooling or something with a 14-18 swing and 48-72 between centers with tooling. The latter can routinely be found for $1k without tooling. If this lathe had a turret or a DRO and the seller was willing to deliver that would sweeten the deal but as it stand $2k is on the high end.
