I want to LS swap a 88 GT. They got real brakes and suspension by Lotus.

My brother has a 88 GT with a all aluminum 4.9 V-8 from I think a 90 something Eldorado or coupe de Ville

The supercharged 3800 from a Buick Park Avenue is a pretty good swap too

Thought about a Northstar, too.

But an LT4 would bolt into the 6 speed.

Just typical 80s big three shit quality

GM made sure they didn’t get more attention than the corvette

Once the all new 1988 one came out the corvette engineers at GM made GM kill it because it was easily a better handling car and faster with a few mods

The origional four cylinder ones had issues with typical GM cost cutting ,to cram
The ir o dike four banger in there they made the oil pan too small and the engine didn’t hold enough oil , and once the got a some high mikes and started using oil the owner had to Check the oil and top it off constantly , like every tank of gas .

Wasn’t a problem with the V-6


The late mode mini coopers have the same issue , only holds 4.3 quarts and my wires mini burns a half a quart every 600 miles .
So
You gotta constantly top it off or else it can run low and that’s never good . The oil gets way too hot when it gets low .

I have no issues with the reliability of the 2.8
But it's a big iron lump that makes 150hp.
A smaller aluminum Honda lump will make 180 and weigh like 200lbs less and just be better.
 
Free V10 and 5R110 wrapped up in a class A in Hartford area.

I'd be interested enough in the axles and frame to split disposal costs and lend a couple weekends running the sawzall.

2009 Spartan braun​

This is a 2009 Spartan Fire & Rescue rig/Ambulance. It is powered by a Cummins 8.3 in-line 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine with a five speed Allison automatic transmission. VIN 4S7TP2B969C071519. Title says it weighs 20770 lbs. I was told by the local DMV that a CDL is not required if the GVWR is declared under 26K. It's basically a semi truck. It has Alcoa aluminum wheels and the tires are in great shape. It runs and drives very well. It has air brakes. This motor currently has 285 HP, but these motors can be turned up to around 400 HP. It has approx 149,000 miles on it. Cold AC. It has an in cab computer control center and is wired for the same in the ambulance box. See the picture of the data tag stating the specs a GVWR.Located between Westville, Fl 32464 & Geneva, Al. If interested contact me here. You can’t just “declare “ the GVWR though

It has to be de rated with tiny tires etc and the data plate in the door changed to reflect the de rate .

Plus cabovers ride terribly .

Put portable toilet in it, propane camp stove, 12V fridge and a small water tank. Instant RV.
