Shit, I need that bed

I've got "build lightish duty extendable trailer" on my longer term list for a while now

I wouldn't build it like a tank though, thinking it'd look like a 18' with 2 5200lb axles then I'd release the lever pull put a longer skeleton and pull the center panels off the back deck to make the drive on panels for the front...

I hate being a long way from home and finding something cool that is worth buying, but not worth a 2nd trip for
You’ve seen the Mexican road trains , right ?
Wouldn’t be too hard to rig up a portable tow Dolly or wheel lift or something on the back of the trailer

I like the idea of a 22' trailer with turn plates, or even just sturdy wheel tie down points on the dove tail, seem pics, and seen it in person, since it's only 2 wheels on the ground, it's pretty much by the book
Just be aware of that you may be adding to the trailer GVWR with the second vehicle hanging off the back, as I understand it, that is a consideration for tow truck drivers who do not have a class a CDL, if the vehicle hanging off the wheel lift has a GVWR of greater than 10,000# and the GCWR is greater than 26,000# it puts them out of class.

100' Hydraulic folding wind turbine tower. Includes hydraulic cylinder. Can be lowered completely to the ground with the push of a button, no crane required to service equipment. Everything in nice condition. Has been taken down and tower sections separated. Have equipment on site to load at anytime. Would make a very impressive flagpole! Call/text Tyler @ 320-510-28fivefive

Damn if that was close to me id have a real hard time not making an offer.

It wasn't.
By 62 Studebaker was assembling whatever they already had into cars because they were nearly bankrupt.
Did studebaker ever make their own beds? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a stude truck with a bed that looked correct.

I can't imagine how deep the piling that mfer sits on has to go. That can't be cheap.
I knew. Guy that put up a tower on top of a mountain with no way to get a concrete truck or anything other than a small tractor or jeep

He hauled rock cages and large rip rap rocks up there and filled the cages , had one for the base of the tower and three more for the guy wires .

Just so he could get internet and cell service at his house

I don't have FB

If you're local can you contact the guy?

I want to know reach and capacity but it's cheap enough I can probably be flexible as to what those numbers are.

I assume it's off a tree truck and needs to be mounted on some pedestal above the load.

Guessing rail truck (based on the switch frog on the picture), local enough to be able to look at it and possibly pickup.

Old tie crane. Probably a Knox Kershaw from the grapple.

Not going to have a huge lifting capacity, but should at least be on par with an engine hoist. Grapple has an infinite rotate on it, which is damn handy.
Judging by the chassis in the background it looks like he stripped the whole thing down - might be able to snag the pump and controls as well.

So like a backhoe dipper but for picking instead of digging?

I don't see that being useful without the rotate. I get that I could build one but I don't think that pencils out $$ wise.

I have a solution for picking and loading in the works that almost exclusively uses shit I have lying around but the catch is that it'll obstruct the top of the trailer I'm trying to load so it'll have to be picked and placed away with the big crane before unloading the trailer.

Essentially.
Probably less lifting capacity than the average backhoe. Closer to a small excavator than anything else.
