I still have my stash of slot cars, I want it!!

Is this worth a 5k price tag? I don’t know Fords at all except what ya’ll talk about. I just stick to Chevy because I have them with plenty of parts trucks.

Short answer is yes

Long answer is it may need one of everything soon. Injectors, hpop, turbo, valve cover gaskets, wheel bearings, ect.... but then you will have an extremely reliable $10k truck

I have an LBZ I am slowly building. I was going to use this and just sell it when I have the other built. That will take who knows how long with my speed as of late. I need it to work for cattle.

Just curious, is it a Dana 50 or 60 in the front of that? Or does it vary?

Should be a 60, I believe. 250's and excursions got the 50.

And yeah, that's a solid price. 6 speeds tend to command a premium, along with the 7.3. Just an all around old reliable truck. Injectors sound more daunting than they are.

Could be either but should be a 60. It also doesnt really matter in that truck if your not parting it out.

Can’t be worse than doing injectors on an LB7. Unless the cab comes off in typical Ford fashion.

Nope, easier than lb7, cab stays in place.

Stock a cooler with beer, invite a friend over, knock it out in an afternoon/evening.
Just vac out any oil that gets in the cylinders and make sure the electric pass-throughs in the valve cover gaskets are in good shape. I've always just replaced the gaskets. Salty for what they are, but cheap insurance if doing the job again is going to cost you 100/hr.

At 300k miles, make sure the inj cups are good. I'm jealous, I'd like to have that truck.

I still feel that's a high price for a project that hasn't been started but I only know CA toyota prices which are retarded to start with

Decent fzj’s are going for $15k+ here. Most with double the mileage. If the interior is decent, the combo is a steal.

And I would have bought this one of I’d thought it was gonna sell so cheap

They had invoices for over $100k for the restoration

I had a 69 cyclone and a 66 Thunderbird when I was a teenager so I got a soft spot for em
