To me the size of the floor mount doesn’t look sturdy enough Unless it is mounted to thick steel. Since there are no holes in it, I’m guessing it has never been used. If you put four holes that close together on a cement floor and hit that with a sledge, you probably have a big hole in your floor.

The jaws not being any wider or taller than the vise body means nothing can't hang thru to the floor.


This one is not bad, repurposed kick press stand looks like a good fit.
