Installing AC on an 8.1 truck

So my truck did not come with AC package, but I will 100% need it.

I can see the space on the acc bracket for the compressor, and AC controls are there (although unsure of wiring). But no dryer, condenser, or under the dash items.

Will I need to pull the dash apart and out the AC in there as well? Am I better off buying a generic AC coversion kit vs trying to put factory in?

Truck is an 8500 series.

There is usually sheet metal modifications required to install AC. And likely a lot of wiring / module replacements in the HVAC department. I'd probably go aftermarket even though they are generally not that great. Or even better, sell this truck and buy one that has AC already.
