I think I just watched this “little house in the prairie” episode…. Where Charles joins a quarry drilling op…. Pretty sure that’s what the holes looked like.

Saying "It's just inexplicable magic- they poured it in place!" is lazy. That's fiction, not history.
When I say I believe some of the blocks were poured like cement. I don’t say that because I heard someone else say it first. I believe that because that’s what it looks like to my own eyeballs. The blocks with the lugs on them that fit together perfectly, does anything stand out visually compared to the obvious rocks fitted on top of them? Color? Texture? The rounded edges vs the sharp square cuts? The bulging on the big ones vs the flat face on the rocks? The lack of lugs on the ones above a certain point? One of them just looks like pre cast while the other just looks like a rock.

Explained a bit viz. the differences by Graham Hancock's second series.

They can't date the stone work, but can tell the differences of transient peoples. And by extension, the loss of knowledge.

You can’t “ cast” granite at surface temp and pressure, never mind the time involved for slow cooking. And cooling, You end up with glass. Magmatic differentiation, ex solution euhedral crystal formation. Wear your Google shit out but leave Yourube alone :flipoff2::flipoff2:
