17x8.5 and 8x6.5 bolt pattern

What are they off of and do I want them for $100/wheel?

Nice, they do look like Hutchinson. The boarder patrol ones are saying 16s, which would be nice, already have tires. Might just be non-gov aftermarket ones.

Wheels just like those came on the 4th or so version of the chevy cucv (it wasnt called cucv on the dash plaque) and sell for around 200-250 each in 100% condition.

They look a little different then the LSSV/border patrol/Secret service Hutchinsons.

A rise in the side toward (a step) the OD of the tire is what I remember for the LSSV wheels.

Is it an optical illusion, or do the have a ton of backspacing? They almost look like an aluminum 17" H1 wheel.

$100 ea, I'd take them all day long.
Most moderns wheels have a very deep oe bs.

17x8.5? Is that measured 17" or stamped 17" ?

I thought gmt 900+ wouldnt even fit 16" wheels because of the massive brakes?.

True, but I guess if they just wanted an oem replacement wheel, but beadlock.

Although modern GM isn't 8x6.5 anymore.

I'm not sure they're all the way to H1 type back spacing, are they? 8.5" wheel with 7" backspace?

Looking at the Pic, it could easily be closer to 5", hard to tell with the angle.

The price Hutchinson charges the government for those wheels is hilarious. For $1560 a wheel those bitches better be forged.

Too bad there isn't a catalog of all the weird wheels Hutchinson has made over the years.

When I was trying to source information for some wheels that I have a few years ago, they couldn't really tell me what they had made. Sounds like if you have enough money, you call and say I want a wheel like xyz, and they turn them out and never look back.

I have the PNs to get replacement O-rings from McMaster if you do end up with those. From the two sets I have had (16s and 17s, the O-rings were the same.

The 17s I had though, they were off of something with a BIG hub though. A stryker type vehicle or LMV III or whatever.

My "Border Patrol" R16s are 16 x 9s with 5-ish something BS.

Nice!:smokin:

I picked em up, but may have led you astray, they don't sound like gov surplus. More like auto industry scrap bin survivors. I'll look up this catalog should I need to find a spare.

PS - That wagon is badass.

If you end up not using them, I could.

That's a pretty good deal and a usable size. 6" bs wouldn't be too bad on 05+ superduty axles.

And running wheel spacers on older axles to keep the lockouts off the rocks and the tires out of the springs/links wouldn't be a big deal. Even with a 2" spacer you are still only at 4" backspacing.
