What's new

I love this conversion, but its no longer made :(

Get a roof from gr8tops, cut some stock doors off and add tube. The action truck I saw was disappointing, the bed was a fiberglass cover over the factory floor and inner fenders. Fitment wasn't that great

I have a 2 door recruit top on my cut JK. It's pretty close to the action cab

I would love to convert mine now that my kiddos are getting older we rarely ALL go somewhere anymore.

I could get a lot more use from it rather than the SUV setup.

I sold my hardtop to run softtop 100% but thought about attempting a half cab. Unfortunetly the pass rear corner was smashed at some point and "fixed"...but not real well.
My wife keeps saying, "Why don't you put a backseat back into your jeep so the girls can go out with us?"

Uhhh, because that TJ's backseat is in a storage shed in Florida, it would require talking to my ex-gf and then visiting her mom's house to get it, and I don't want to, most importantly. Really? I want to try to wheel all day with two teenaged girls who are upset that the air conditioning isn't on, that bugs are flying around them, and that no one is providing wi-fi so they can watch insipid Dik-Tok videos about the latest stupid "challenge" that retarded kids have come up with?

My tools, recovery gear, and cooler go there. Not teenage girls who are only going to either annoy me, or make me nuts from worrying about what happens if I run out of skill or equipment on an obstacle. No thank you.

"Sorry, Baby, I took the seat mounts out. There's no way to mount a seat back there anymore."

Dude, honestly, the tools are there to take up that space because I sure as fuck don't know what I'm doing with them.

When something breaks, I hold flashlights and hand people tools and tell jokes.

I'm unskilled labor.

Speaking of which, anyone want to come to Queen Creek, Arizona and fix my fucking jeep...?

Seen these today so somebody is turning similar things out.

I'm in SW MO. So I guess they're headed to Branson or Silver Dollar City
I'd say you are correct.

I've been wanting to go to fantastic caverns add ride the YJ for a while, just never get down your way.

I actually dig how they basically resurrected the Surrey Jeeps

They were pretty unique vehicles. They had rear leaf springs, a semifloat dana 60 rear and the jk dana 44 front. I believe they were offered with either the VM2.8 diesel or a 5.7 hemi with the 545FE trans.

I hate to quote Wikipedia, but they have a nifty little article on them;

We have a bunch of J8's or whatever they are at work, diesel, leaf sprung rear, semi float dana 60 jk's. Most are 4 doors with a traditional hard top, some of the 4 doors have some pretty hack flat beds on them and there's 1 2 door pickup/ flat bed that doesn't look bad.
