What's new

I just saw this... Quarry guys step in.

Fuck off Karen. The fact that you're making this thread says you'll be pissy no matter what they do.

If I were you I'd just be happy it's something industrial and not some Sofried type twat looking to whip up a subdivision for carpetbagging commiefornians.

WTF are you talking about bitch? I am a Karen because I asked what to expect?

Are the voices in your head confusing you and the mixing up the people you are trying to agitate?

I see he has come back fully fledged as himself. Which is to say arrogant, stupid, angry, and condescending.:flipoff2:

You opened with "How bad is this gonna fuck up my peace, quiet, and hamony?" I think Karen was a reasonable assumption in light of that.

I also asked if I was just gonna need new shop stereo...

You might be surprised about my level of give-a-fuck when it comes to what others do on their property. About the ONLY thing I care about is potential impact to my well. I look forward to a quarry being close so hauling fees are lower.

An observation is not an accusation, a question is not an indication of complaint.

Just because you see every comment in a negative light doesn't mean the rest of us think that way. Some of us are open minded and actually want to learn something.

Eh, whatever. I guess I'm too used to arguing with a certain type of person.

You’ll soon get to hear every straight piped 3406 in the area singing a song as they down shift into the pit. Hopefully they have an agreement with the town to turn Jake’s off in the area
Around here pits only run during normal hours unless there's a special project.

Rather hear jakes during the day than crashes.

Forgot about the dust.

Any decent windstorm and it would carry over.

I lived about 2 miles away and it was pretty bad there too. Gets up in the air.

There are 2 pits near my new place and don't have nearly the dust for whatever reason.
Like can park something all winter and it's barely dirty vs having a solid 1/8" if dirt.

There he is!

You gonna share or just gloating?
Pretty much the same as what folks are saying. Goal is to have it operational within a year, but getting started (anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months) depends on availability of resources, etc.

Oh, she did say they have a permit to make Dresden (Dresdan?) rd a thru street so they can haul on it; is that anything that would affect you?

Dresden

it may be on the other side of Kersey Valley paralleling I-74 West with the potential to make that an on-ramp as well.

My side is a dead end and would require a bridge to cross either I-74 or I-85 to go anywhere.

About the only thing that would really affect my QOL is if they make my side of Dresden an off-ramp, and that would require significant infratructure changes and would probably end up with an Eminent Domain purchase and bulldozing of my place to provide appropriate right of way.

Who did you talk to?

Even without blowing dust, they'll track everything out onto the road at that turn out. Also they'll lose any loose gravel off the trucks as they make that swing out of their drive.

Like I said, fuck yo paint :Rick James:

Lady got killed a few years back from a melon sized rock flying off a side dump fender.
Went through the windshield and she crashed into the loading conveyors by the highway.

Driver was charged with manslaughter but not sure if it stuck.

Have you dealt with NCDOT before?

Those fucks want 42K for 14 acres across the freeway from me, but 22K for .85 next to me.

They will do some very stupid shit, so none of what he said would surprise me.

But well done! Kudos on the line... I took it all and ran.
