Bakersgas.com is having a 5% off all hypertherm consumables. These things never go on sale. These are genuine hypertherm not that will fit knock off shit that on Amazon.

Code is Redfriday

I buy a ton of these each month, and i forget to order on black Friday!

I just picked up a Powermax 30 yesterday.

It is NOT the XP, and I know the XP consumables aren't compatible.
Can anyone confirm if the powermax 30 air consumables will or won't fit the powermax 30?

They are not compatible.

I have 4 Hypertherm machines. Consumables kick my ass.
Powermax 30 Air
Powermax 30 XP
Powermax 45
Powermax 65 with Machine Torch.

BTW.. The Powermax 30 is discontinued. Shouldn't matter though. As long as you stock up on consumables.
These are great machines and if taken care of will last. I've had my 30 XP since 2014 and I use it every week. it's still operates just like new.

Awesome, thank you!

What should I keep on hand (what burns up the most)?

Seems I should buy nozzles and electrodes (220480 and 220478).

Do the other parts ever need to be changed (other than physically busting them)?

How do you know when to change the electrode?
How do you know when to change the nozzle?

nozzle and electrode are really the only bits I've ever worn out, the retaining cap is all arced up from dragging it on dumb things, but that's my fault, still works fine

it just quits shooting out sparks when the electrode is done, might light up a light on the panel, I don't remember fully
and you swap the nozzle and electrode as a set
I've gotten some extra use outta the old electrodes by filing them back a little (they get cratered at the end) but that's pretty hit or miss
Same on the nozzle, they get cratered at the outlet and you can file them back a little but again, kinda hit or miss if it does anything good.
