Hydroboost behavior

I have a hydroboost booster in my Jeep. I went through about 2-3 feet of water and when I came out and stepped on the brakes, the pedal shot to the floor, leaving the brakes applied until I shut off the engine (did it several times). No water ingestion into the system. I was into the process of separating the master cylinder from the HB so I could get to the trail head when the thing started working properly and has worked fine ever since. What could have happened?

No idea on this BUT a similar thing happened to me years ago on a BMW BUT it was with the clutch. Pulled it up and worked fine after that and never happened again in the 2 years I had it after that before selling it.

First blush, sounds first unrelated to the fording event, second kinda sounds like the stupid push rod star gizmo broke or something (tween mc and booster the part ya don't get in a reman)

Maybe something going on with a caliper? I lost pedal once when caliper got jammed in the bracket. Was not obvious based on inspection. Took forever to figure out what was happening.

Usually on Hydroboost if the brakes are applying themselves, you have a broken main O-ring in the body. Causing a leak of the sort inside and pressurizing. You may have somehow gotten some water in there also. They are easy to take apart, not much to them. Website called Piratejack sell full rebuild kits for about $35. I've done mine already. I would start the truck and the brakes would engage themselves.
