Wanting to put a hyd wheel lift on my 93 f350 to tote my 64. Will a hyd pump unit from a dump trailer work?

You're looking to build your own, I take it? I'd look at the commercially available models for pressure and flow for the pump and go for something similar. Beyond that, a power up, power down pump should work for you. Since the lift isn't going to be that heavy, a power up, release down isn't going to work so well unless you can stand on it to get it to go down.

I bought a used wheel lift already. I'll need to run a 3 spool valve to it. trying to figure out the pump I need

Do you have a valve now? If not, do you want lever controlled valves (so you have to stay at the control to run it) or solenoid controlled valves (so you can run the valves with switches or even from a wireless remote)?

levers will be fine for what I'm doin. good thought though

If you dont have a valve yet, a pair of the solenoid valves I linked earlier may be cheaper than a 3 spool valve, they would need to be plumbed like this:

Then your switches (3 DPDT or 6 DPST) would run the pump up and down (to run cylinder 1), the pump up and down plus solenoid A (to run cylinder 2) or the pump up and down plus solenoid B (to run cylinder 3)

Ahh, Would you happen to have a link for the controller? I have no idea what to even search for

The solenoid valve I used the picture of is this one: https://www.surpluscenter.com/Hydra...t-DC-Double-Selector-Valve-DFE080-9-12390.axd
They are $60 each.
If I remember tomorrow I can snag some pictures of a setup on a HLA SnowWing plow at work with a pair of those plumbed like that (Cylinder 1 is left/right moldboard angle, Cylinder 2 is one wing, Cylinder 3 is the other wing).
Here is their diagram:

If you were asking about a wireless controller, I would use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/6-Channel-Wir.../dp/B01D5XWDYO but you would need 6 SPDT relays or 10 SPST relays (for each function you would need a contact for the motor to turn on and choose the direction of slow and a contact to turn on the right solenoid valve).

What are your 3 functions? Stinger up/down, Stinger in/out and? Does it have hydraulic controlled forks to go around the wheels?

I've had time to mess with this again. got it mounted on the truck now.

How many solenoid valves do I need? That diagram is a bit confusing to me. shows 2nd and 3rd function but not first. Two inputs and two outputs on the sides?

the relays you listed are out of stock now(what I get for getting busy..lol) seem to only come singularly or 5 pack. 2 packs of 5 seems to be best deal

What hyd pump do I need?

thanks

You only need 2 solenoids, they pass through when off, so you have:
1. All off

2. Solenoid 1 on

3. Solenoid 2 on

1st output is with all solenoids off (listed as "Default output" in the diagram).
2nd output is with solenoid 2 on.
3rd output is with solenoid 3 on.

You need a pump that has power up and power down.

As for the relay, it's a DPST relay with normally open AND normally closed contacts.

2 sets of contacts, one normally open and one normally closed for each set.
The relay part number is: LY2NJ

so I need four of them relays?

I was looking at this pump?

You will need 6 relays as you need 2 that will just turn the pump on and not run valves (see my picture in post 13).
That pump would need another valve after it (to choose up and down), it looks like the one you linked to in the first post is still available: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hydraulic-...re-Gauge-Hydraulic-Pump-15-Quart/233497862517
It needs to say double acting or DA.
