What do these steel piston rings do on the ends of rod seal? Ported like a gas port on an engine piston.

Fuckin broke one.
 
looks like one of the cylinder that is just raised by fluid displacement with the locator collars on the base. did a set on a case rough terrain fork that looked like that.
 
Yes I think it's part of the cushion. It's back together with only one now. Caught it on the lip of the cyl and it snapped. Also filleted my finger in the process.

There’s not a twin cylinder to it like on a skid steer? If so, you’ll want get it replaced.
 
Twin? Only one cyl on the jib.
