Hey, quick double check here...5 year old high efficiency furnace, PVC exhaust venting fully up to code, noticed a tiny drip of water coming from a glue joint at an elbow on the exhaust this morning (few inch round wet spot on the concrete below).

Any concerns with just replacing the elbow and re-gluing everything? Or is this a sign of a bigger problem?

Checked the vent itself isn't plugged, slope is all good (back towards furnace), no issues prior, I know there's usually condensation in the exhaust...so just a matter of a joint that wasn't well sealed and finally started dripping? Or anything else to check before I replace with the to code pipe/glueing?

Replace the elbow.

The fuckwit who installed it probably just cemented it without the solvent because you can do that when you have a license that prevents people from competing with you.

This plus check the rest of the PVC vent. I just went through this with whoever did my PVC vents, they didn't even use glue, just shoved the fittings together.

Ya, they're all glued including this joint, just a pinhole leak.

As I was checking shit out this afternoon, I noticed some scorched wires on either the flame sensor or ignitor and the heat insulation as well, plus the thing hasn't been really serviced in 5 years, so said screw it and called the HVAC company. I'll pay them a few hundred bucks to make the problems go away.
