I had a shot at two does today. I thought they looked small before realizing the grass they were walking through is over 4’ tall. Now I’m thinking I should have shot one. :homer:

Knocked this nice 8pt down the second day of rifle. 40 yard down hill shot directly behind me through some brush.

Duck hunting has been a bit slow for me this year. No boat and no dog make it pretty tough to hunt our area. Lots of birds around, but they stick to the big water making it hard to get at them. The area I can hunt is full of Pintail, and a 1 bird a day limit means a long day of watching birds you cant shoot land in your decoys.
