Oven cleaner doesn't do shit. I hear a needle scaler works pretty good. Any toxic chemicals that'll eat it? What's a dry ice rental cost? Heard that might work.

Oven cleaner is caustic/lye based and is designed to attack & soften organic materials like splattered food residue. That's what makes it so effective on drain clogs like hair & grease. Of course, that's also what makes it so dangerous when it gets on your skin.

Mechanical methods like a needle scaler or the abrasive disc shown by Unka-Boo will work on just about any material. They may be messy and labor-intensive, but they are nearly always effective.

Start by identifying the undercoating. Is it hard like powder coat? Is it soft & rubberized? Is it waxy and oily like NHOU?

Knowing the material will help plan the most effective removal method.

I was shop stooge at a body shop in HS, had the misfortune of stripping undercoating off a Pantera...that was the only thing that worked worth a shit..

Wait for winter, at 20* it flakes off when you hit it.

Rental. What will you be returning? :lmao:

Dry ice works. But you need a rotisserie to be effective as you need to crush it and leave it in place for 15 mins. So no vertical or upside down. Hence the rotisserie

Actually that is for seam sealer. For seam welding chassis. Think we just hammer chisel’d the undercoat off

Dry ice and isopropyl alcohol

The correct answer is Mexicans. Two of them.

Seriously. I was about to say that even as stingy as I am about paying people to do things that I can do myself I'd probably be willing to pay for someone to do that shit since the only way I know to do it is grind it off. That sounds like a whole truckload of "fuck that shit".
