What's new

How many on here have never been finger printed?

I remember going to the police station in 1st grade to get it done. Then again for TSA pre check in 2018.

maybe in grade school, but don't remember. Illinois CCL, did the long wait rather than pay extra and get printed

This was the 80s. Who knows the reasoning. The whole class went.
I think this came about from the whole Johnny Gosh disappearance. The idea was finger print your kids so they can find them. Identify them if needed.

They didn't have DNA testing at that time of course.

Many times they would find a kid and the kid didn't even know who they were.

Shouldn't say many times, rather on rare occasions when they did find a kid there was no way to identify them.

In the 80’s after Johnny Gosch was abducted and it made national news they started finger printing kids in grade school.

My mom talked a lot about Johnny Gosch when she started working for the Des Moines School District. I was still told to go play outside though:lmao:

I was off grid until a few years ago when work made me get a TWIC card. Still have yet to use it. Was traveling right after that and didn't even need to show my passport at customs because of the face scanner.

Nitrile gloves and ski masks it is boys.
don't forget to put padding in your mask.

the new facial recognition stuff can reconstruct what it thinks your face looks like under a covering if it's given enough shape data.
