On an umbrella repair business that was in Oakland California in the 60's and early 70's maybe even earlier than that. At the end it was off of Seminary Ave. His last name was Moore.

I've searched google and find nothing that old.

An umbrella repair business, that was really a thing? Sounds weird with our disposable world. How much would an umbrella have to cost that repairing it makes sense $$.

Yeah, same with tube testers to repair your own stereo.

There are still expensive umbrellas, usually in the $100-250 range. If I paid that much I would look for a repair before tossing it.

My grandfather owned a TV and radio repair shop back in the day. People actually repaired stuff back then, of course stuff cost more too.

Well shit, we're either cousins or my gramps worked for yours before he opened his own. :laughing: (he actually did live in that area at one time)

Of course the only really gay cousin I know of in CA lives in Santa Barbara, so I don't think you're him.

I believe he closed up shop and sold the bldg in the late 70's or really close to that mark. His reasoning was being bargained down too much from the :mr-t: moving in, and of course nighttime burglaries were on the rise. :lmao:

It would have been mid-50s. He moved to Arizona in the early 60s.

Same with this guy, he was the last umbrella repair place in the bay area at the time. I used to date a couple of his daughters.

I really just wanted to know if they were alive or not, I was 18 and she was 48, we lived together for 3 yrs, the other was 45. I also screwed the 45 yr olds 17yr old daughter.
