Did some work on my dad's boiler/baseboard heating system this past week. Found a bad zone valve motor on one zone. It's a Honeywell 4043a type.

I ordered a replacement motor for him but it didn't come with mounting screws.

Of course, during the troubleshooting process, the two screws that were being used fucked off and left the building.

Since the screws didn't stick around I have no way of mounting the new motor :homer:

Does anyone know what size the screws should be, other than too damn small to see once they're on the floor?

Should have one on shelf at work but can’t get you a size until tomorrow evening.

Not a huge rush, since it's almost July  it's only been bae for 6 years, don't want to rush the repair :shaking:

I'm thinking they're about a #2x1/4", but I'm not positive.

That's way bigger than the ones I lost (cue that's what she said joke) :lmao:.

I don't know if it's because they're so old (installed circa 1975) or what, but the screws I lost were all of 5 threads long, and just barely fit on the small Craftsman screwdriver.
Flathead, knurled head maybe 1/8" in diameter and thickness.
Brass, because we don't want magnetic shit.

Well shit, I figured Honeywell was pretty standardized on their valves.

My plumber buddy bet me $100 they were #8 screws as well, so don't feel bad. He's been doing this shit for ~40 years, and didn't believe me when I told him how small the screws were.
