I have this beat up Massey Ferguson 1010 and the tach cable broke on it a couple weeks ago. Parts for the 1010 are pretty much non-existent and I'm having a hell of a time finding something that's compatible.

It looks like a typical cable, except the ends are threaded 7/16" and 5/8", not 5/8" & 7/8" like most tractors take. I'm coming up empty finding anything.

Overall length is about 24", but I could route a longer one if needed.

Anyone's googlefu better than mine?

In the past most any NAPA store had all of the fittings to build a speedo or tach cable. This has become a bit more hit or miss in these last few years of computer motors.

Do you live so far out in the sticks that there is no speedometer shop near your location?

this country is has manny speedo shops to send your cable to for reproduction if you can’t do it your self.

as said, the inner cables are pretty standard, just clean the sheath out and make up a new inny bit outta an old speedo cable or whatever
